The Avitiva team has more than 40 years of combined consulting experience; extensive expertise in the complete set of Microsoft Office, BackOffice and development platforms including Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal, Microsoft SQL Server, .NET Framework and Microsoft Windows Server; and familiarity with tools complementary to Microsoft platforms such as workflow and open source development tools.

Meet the Team

Wynne Leon, CEO

Prior to co-founding Avitiva, Wynne was a partner at the boutique consulting firm Wadeware, where she developed a consulting practice to solve business problems using analysis, technology, and solid project management. In her role as designer and architect, Wynne developed applications to organize client information via portals that allow easy navigation, document management and sharing, and utilize Business Intelligence tools that produce meaningful information to end-users. Wynne has also served as Vice President of Operations for CSG Openline as well as Managing Consultant for Microsoft’s leading solution provider in the Northwest, Excell Data Corporation. Drawing on her 18 years of experience providing technology solutions for businesses, Wynne has authored a number of white papers and is co-author of Wiley Publishing’s Microsoft© SharePoint© Server 2007 Bible. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Wynne’s analytical and detail-oriented personality lead her to experiment with new solutions, finding ways to apply new learning to existing problems. She seeks out active partnerships with clients who share a vision for innovation. Wynne’s personal interest in hiking and rock-climbing feed her professional stamina and balance, and hone her ability to plan ahead and reserve energy for the substantial challenges she undertakes.

Wayne Tynes, President

Prior to co-founding Avitiva, Wayne built and managed the portal practice for Wadeware, a boutique consulting firm in Bellevue, Washington. Prior to that, Wayne managed public relations, demos, and collateral development for SharePoint Portal Server as a product manager for Microsoft. Before Microsoft, Wayne spent four years with IBM as Product Sales Manager, where he was responsible for the sale of solutions based on the Domino Internet application. Wayne also spent two years as a systems engineer for PC Docs (now Hummingbird) designing and implementing pilots for large government and commercial environments, and the largest law firms in the country. Wayne’s fifteen years of experience in knowledge-management solutions followed a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Florida State University. Among his other credentials, Wayne is a Certified Novell Administrator; Certified Lotus Professional; and Certified Microsoft Product Specialist. Wayne relies on Avitiva for intellectually rewarding challenges and the opportunity to work with likeminded associates. On his own time, Wayne’s interests extend to hang gliding, scuba diving, snowboarding, golf, and investing.

Jenny Richards, Project Manager

Jenny is a hands-on leader with a focus on project delivery. Her breadth of experience spans from analysis through implementation of custom systems, and she has demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and complex projects. She has extensive SharePoint experience creating and managing SharePoint architectures as well as managing custom development around authentication platforms, site development, and support and webpart development. Her sub-specialty is social networking, and she dabbles in HTML and CSS as well. Prior to joining Avitiva, Jenny was a program manager at Microsoft and JetBlue Airways where she was responsible for customer projects, customizations, installations, and support. She was also an instructor and courseware developer at Lotus Development.
