Simeon Cathey, Chief Software Architect
Avitiva’s Chief Software Architect is partner and co-founder Simeon
Cathey. Simeon’s responsibilities include account management, technical
sales and oversight of software and product development.
Simeon has nine years of experience building information and document
management applications for businesses. Prior to co-founding Avitiva,
Simeon was a software engineer and product manager for the Microsoft
Publishing and Knowledge Management team.
Simeon began architecting SharePoint©
Server technologies well before the launch of SharePoint©;
by the time Microsoft released versions 1 and 2, he recognized a great
opportunity to help businesses increase productivity through these
technologies both as an internal and external hosted offering. During
his Microsoft tenure, Simeon developed an intimate understanding of the
business needs that prompt the evolution of portal and search
technologies.
As a graphic designer, Simeon also brings sound technical
understanding, creativity and fun to his leadership role at Avitiva.
Embracing the ever-changing nature of technology, he thrives on mental
challenges and finds excitement and professional rewards in solving new
problems, helping others around him become successful, and improving
business processes at the core level. He is co-author of Wiley
Publishing’s Microsoft©
SharePoint© Server
2007 Bible. |
